| "When I think of my home in Carlisle Nursing Center, the first words that come to mind are happiness and love. Love for and from all who live and work here. I can't think of any place I'd rather be." |
In 1999, the Board of Directors of Due West Retirement Center achieved a long-time dream with the opening of Carlisle Nursing Center, a skilled nursing facility. Carlisle is not a typical nursing home. It, like the rest of the Retirement Center, is a place with an unmistakable energy and enthusiasm. It is a place where people enjoy living.
Medical care is provided 24-hours-a-day to 22 residents who live in private rooms. Nurses, resident assistants, and a rehabilitation team work together under the supervision of a medical director to provide the best possible care--in an unusually cheerful manner. A comprehensive life enrichment program provides meaningful daily activities.
Realizing that spiritual and social needs are just as important as physical needs, we remember that we care for people. No one is a number. No one is a patient. Everyone is a friend, a friend who just happens to have a medical need. In such an environment, people can thrive, even if their medical needs are great. Our commitment is to make their life worth living.
